Wealth is from Allah(swa)

The Test of Wealth

(41:49) Man wearies not of praying for good,65 but when evil visits him, he despairs and gives up all hope.

65. “For good”: For prosperity, abundance of provisions, good health, well-being of children, etc. And man here does not imply every human being for it also includes the prophet and the righteous people, who are free from this weakness as is being mentioned below. But here it implies the mean and shallow person who starts imploring God humbly when touched by harm and is beside himself with joy when he receives the good things of life as most human beings are involved in this weakness, it has been called a weakness of man.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, there were three among the children of Israel whom Allah Almighty intended to test: a leper, a bald man, and a blind man. He sent an angel to them and he came to the leper, saying: What would you love most? The leper said: I want a beautiful color and beautiful skin, for people have shunned me. The angel wiped over him and it had gone away, then he was given a beautiful color and beautiful skin. The angel said: Which property would you love most? The man said: Camels. Thus, he was given a pregnant camel. The angel said: May Allah bless you in it. The angel came to the bald man, saying: What would you love most? The bald man said: Beautiful hair and to be rid of this, for people have shunned me. The angel wiped over him and it had gone away, then he was given beautiful hair. The angel said: Which property would you love most? The man said: Cows. Thus, he was given a pregnant cow. The angel said: May Allah bless you in it. The angel came to the blind man, saying: What would you love most? The blind man said: For Allah to return my sight so I can see people. The angel wiped over him, then Allah returned his sight. The angel said: Which property would you love most? The man said: Sheep. Thus, he was given a pregnant sheep. The animals had grown and given birth such that one man had a valley of camels, another had a valley of cows, and another had a valley of sheep. Then, the angel came to the former leper while disguised in the shape and appearance of a leper, saying: I am a poor man, bereft of my livelihood while on a journey, none can take care of my needs today but Allah and then you, so I ask by the One who gave you beautiful color and beautiful skin and a wealth of camels to help me reach my destination! The man said: I have many duties. The angel said to him: It is as if I recognize you, were you not a leper shunned by people, in poverty, but Allah gave this to you? The man said: I have inherited it from my forefathers. The angel said: If you are lying, then may Allah return you to what you were before! The angel came to the former bald man in a similar appearance, saying the same as he had said to the leper and the man responded the same way. The angel said: If you are lying, then may Allah return you to what you were before! The angel came to the blind man in a similar form, saying: I am a poor man and wayfarer, bereft of my livelihood while on a journey, none can take care of my needs today but Allah and then you, so I ask by the One who returned your sight and gave you sheep to help me reach my destination! The man said: I was once a blind man and Allah returned my sight, I was poor and He enriched me, so take whatever you wish for, by Allah, I will not dispute you today in whatever you take for Allah’s sake. The angel said: Keep your property, for I was only sent to test you and Allah is pleased with you but angry with your two companions.

Prophet Muhammad(saw) in the Bible (Quotes) and Prophet Jesus in Islam – FlipBook

Genesis 12:2-3 speaks of God’s promise to Abraham and his descendants before any child was born to him.

Genesis 12:2-3New International Version

Genesis 17:4 reiterates God’s promise after the birth of Ishmael and before the birth of Isaac.Just to briefly explain the Genealogy of Jewish people – they are the descendants of Abraham and his wife Sarah – while the Arabs are the descendants of Abraham and his slave girl Hajra/ Hagar; Ibrahim(Abraham had many wives – these are the 2 most important ones since from heir Lineage came many Prophets – Alayhis Salam)

14The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so. 15The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. 16For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”

21You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” 22If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.

Why that had to be Prophet Muhammad(saw) and Not Jesus is because Prophet Muhammad was like unto Moses – he had a family, and ruled by Shariah , fought the idolators and did many worldly things – unlike Jesus who came to warn the people of the Afterlife and Belief in monotheism as Salvation; (John 18:36New International Version – 36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”)

Manuscripts Problem Different Formats of Early Scripture Scroll: a rolled piece of papyrus or parchment. All of the original scriptures were written on scrolls. Codex: a book made up of paper, parchment, or papyrus, with one end bound. Palimpsest: a manuscript page that has been washed off so that it can be reused. Hebrew Scriptures Great Isaiah Scroll, 202-107 B.C., facsimile The Great Isaiah Scroll is one of the original Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1947 and is the most complete of the Hebrew Scriptures Dead Sea Scrolls found in the Qumran Caves. The scroll was written on seventeen sheets of parchment, connected into a scroll. Differences between this scroll and the later Masoretic text are mostly grammatical and spelling differences.

Nabi Eesa-Prophet Jesus spoke Aramaic – and there is No Original 100 percent Aramaic Text; however we will try to extract some passages which Logiacally correspond with each other throughout the “Biblical Connection”;
What is a Manuscript? A manuscript is a hand-written document. The word has its origin in Latin: manu (hand) and scriptum (written). There are approximately 5,800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. In addition, there are 10,000 Latin manuscripts, and 9,300 manuscripts in other languages. The New Testament autographa, the manuscripts written by the original authors, are unavailable, but manuscripts have been discovered that are dated as early as the 2nd century. The Ten Commandments

20 And God spoke all these words:

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“You shall have no other gods before[a] me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

Monotheism in New Testament:

Only God is good Scripture: Ezekiel 7-8, Psalm 116, Matthew 19 Matthew 19:17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” Mark 10:18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. Observation The rich young ruler approached Jesus and asked, “What good thing must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only One who is good.” There is a slight difference in Mark’s gospel. The young man asked, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered, “Why do you call me good? No one is good—except God alone.” Romans 3:10–12 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” No one is good. All of us have turned away. We love the fantasy of human goodness. We say it all the time: people are basically good. Or, “He/she is a good person.” Jesus says, “No one is good, except God alone.” No one is Perfect but God – we are all Sinners in need of repentance;

JESUS about God:
Mathew 7:22
– New International Version Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ – because calling Jesus “Lord” instead of God;

The Trinity is Not Biblical – https://www.ucg.ca/booklets/is-god-a-trinity/surprising-origins-trinity-doctrine – But should we really base our view of God on a doctrine that isn’t spelled out in the Bible, that wasn’t formalized until three centuries after the time of Jesus Christ and the apostles, that was debated and argued for decades (not to mention for centuries since), that was imposed by religious councils presided over by novices or nonbelievers and that was “decided by the method of trial and error”? Of course not. We should instead look to the Word of God—not to ideas of men—to see how our Creator reveals Himself!

“He is Allah—there is no god ‘worthy of worship’ except Him: Knower of the seen and unseen. He is the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. He is Allah—there is no god except Him: the King, the Most Holy, the All-Perfect, the Source of Serenity, the Watcher ‘of all’, the Almighty, the Supreme in Might,1 the Majestic. Glorified is Allah far above what they associate with Him ˹in worship˺! He is Allah: the Creator, the Inventor, the Shaper. He‘alone’ has the Most Beautiful Names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth ‘constantly’ glorifies Him. And He is the Almighty, All-Wise. (Qur’an 59 – 22/23/24)

Iqaluit Masjid – and Islam in the Arctic

Welcome to Iqaluit Masjid

A project of Islamic Society of Nunavut ® (2009)

Located in the far reaches of the Canadian North, Iqaluit Masjid is the first masjid in the territory of Nunavut. The newly built masjid is a milestone in Islamic and Canadian history for being Canada’s most North-Easterly Mosque.

Islamic Society of Nunavut is committed to sharing the beautiful message of Islam, and gestures of goodwill according to its teachings in the Canadian North. The Masjid holds five time daily prayers, Friday & Eid Prayers, open-houses and other community events. The aim of the establishment is to facilitate the worship of Allah (SWT) according to Quran and Sunnah.

Note about prayer timings: Due to the Iqaluit’s proximity to the North Pole there is an absence of complete dark during the nights in the summers. For this reason, based on various fatawa, the masjid leadership and community agree to follow the salat timings of the closest major city i.e, Ottawa for the purpose of daily prayers and fasting during the month of Ramadan.

The Ummah will reach the East and the West

Thawbān (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah brought the corners of the earth together for me, so I saw its eastern and western parts. The dominion of my Ummah will definitely reach as far as what was brought together for me (all parts of the world). I have been granted the two treasures, the red and the white. I asked my Lord not to destroy my Ummah due to a common drought nor to afflict them with an enemy from other than themselves who would annihilate them. My Lord said: ‘O Muhammad, when I pass a decree, it is not retracted. I have granted that I will not destroy your Ummah by a common drought, nor will I release against them an enemy from other than themselves, who will annihilate them – even if the people from the surrounding regions join forces against them – until they themselves kill and capture each other.'” Al-Burqāni narrated this Hadīth in his Sahīh with this addition: “I only fear for my Ummah the misguiding leaders. If the sword falls upon them, it will not be lifted until the Day of Resurrection. The Hour will not be established until a community from my Ummah join the polytheists and until large groups from my Ummah worship idols. There will be in my Ummah thirty impostors, each of them claiming to be a prophet. I am the seal of the prophets; there will be no prophet after me. A group from my Ummah will continue to uphold the truth and be victorious, regardless of those who let them down (did not support them), until the command of Allah, Exalted and Glorified, comes.”

Midnight Sun Mosque

Russia

Nord Kamal Mosque in Norilsk is the world’s northernmost mosque.[17]

Nord Kamal Mosque in Norilsk is the world’s northernmost mosque.[17]

A study from 2019 described Muslim communities in Arctic Russia as “rapidly growing” in the last two decades. An early attempt to build a mosque in a major city (Yakutsk, about 450 kilometers (280 mi) south of the Arctic Circle) failed upon the outbreak of the First World War and the following October Revolution. In 1996, however, it became the site of the world’s largest mosque in the far north, capable of holding 3000 worshipers.[2]

Siberian mullahs since the 19th century were hesitant to recognize distant authority.[2] After the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, three central Muslim directorates competed for control of the Islamic population in Siberia, the far East and the far North; one of these three was absorbed into another, leaving the CDUMR and the Council of Muftis—the latter seen as closely tied to the Russian government.[2] In 1998, the first mosque was built for the industrial city of Norilsk, and by 2007 the Muslims in the city were estimated at 20% of the population, coming from DagestanCentral Asia and Azerbaijan.[18]

Nearly every Arctic city in Russia has a Muslim presence as of 2019, and the 59 mosques and musallas spread across the Arctic exist in every region except for the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka.[2] A periodical journal named Islam in Yakutia is printed in Neryungri.[2] In 2014, it was noted that a large number of ethnic Russians in Tyumen, which boasts 30 northern mosques, seemed to be converting to Islam.[19]

Alaska

[edit]

The Islamic Community Center of Anchorage Alaska[21] was the first purpose-built mosque in the US state, with construction beginning in 2010 to replace the musalla in a strip mall that had previously served the 3000 Muslim residents.[22][23][24] Due to the differences in daylight hours between winter and summer, and due to there being no darkness in the summer at night, the ICCAA has adopted Mecca time as its prayer schedule,[25] which has led to some disagreement within the community. Some Muslims opt to pray local time, and estimate the prayer times in the summer when they cannot use the sun.
