Sura Al-Fatiha (“The Opening”) is the first chapter of the Quran. Its verses are a prayer for God’s guidance and stress the Lordship and Mercy of God (Allah in Arabic). This chapter has a special role in daily prayers (Salat), being recited at the start of each unit of prayer, or rak’ah.
English translation of Surah Al-Fatiha
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
All Praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Universe
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Owner of the Day of Judgement.
You alone do we worship, and You alone we turn to for help
Guide us to the straight path;
The path of those on whom You have bestowed your grace, not (the way) of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray.
“Then We revealed to you [Muhammad], ‘Follow the creed of Abraham, a man of pure faith who was not an idolater.’” (Quran, 16:123)
A manuscript is a hand-written document. The word has its origin in Latin: manu (hand) and scriptum (written). There are approximately 5,800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. In addition, there are 10,000 Latin manuscripts, and 9,300 manuscripts in other languages. The New Testament autographa, the manuscripts written by the original authors, are unavailable, but manuscripts have been discovered that are dated as early as the 2nd century.
Parchment: writing material made from animal skin (might be lamb, goat, deer, or cow), or
Papyrus: a reed plant that grows along the banks of the Nile. There are 1,276 New Testament papyri, the earliest copies of portions of the New Testament.

As you have likely heard, Canada’s bail system is in crisis. In 2014, CCLA reported that 54.5% of all people in Canada’s provincial and territorial jails were legally innocent, awaiting the determination of their bail or the resolution of their charges rather than serving a sentence after a conviction. By 2021/22, that proportion had risen to 70%. In Ontario jails, it is 79%. Conditions in pre-trial custody are dangerous and inhumane. There are issues with overcrowding, and recreation, treatment and rehabilitation programs are limited or non-existent. Prisoners are often subjected to lockdowns due to staff shortages. During lockdowns, prisoners are confined to their cells for the entire day, with little or no access to necessities like fresh air, exercise, clean clothes and towels, showers, and telephone calls to loved ones. These desperate conditions often force innocent people to plead guilty just so they can get out. This issue comes with real human costs—for instance, the case of Lesley Ann Balfour, a 25-year-old mother of four. After spending 56 days in jail, the Crown withdrew all charges against her. Hers is the human story of Canada’s broken bail system.
We urgently need to address this unfair system. Unfortunately, politicians and governments increasingly decry our bail system as “too lenient.” This is not the case. Instead, we are facing an issue of overdetention. CCLA is fighting back; we are advocating for the importance of a fair and functioning bail system that protects both Charter rights and community safety because we know the importance of a fair bail system.
Bail reform is not a popular political issue, but CCLA advocates for what is right, not what is popular. We know we can have a system that protects both Charter rights and community safety. One solution that will help to move us in the right direction is making “bail bed” programs more widely available and accessible, and this is something that CCLA is advocating for. CCLA will continue to advocate for a fairer bail system, but we need your help. CCLA is independent. We can only advocate for issues like this with your support. That’s why we are asking you to donate today if you can. Thank you!

Deutronomy 6 – MonotheIsm In Old Testament – same Principle In lslam
Version 1.0.0
4Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. a5Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you getup. 8Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (The Monotheism
1“All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. 3They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things. 7But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate (teacher, Oarakletos in Greek Language Translation)will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
John 16 – NIV (New International Version) –12“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
Prophet Muhammad came to declare the Message – as part of the Last Revelation sent to Mankind. What was the Message? There is only one God Worthy of Worship. The Qur’an states that those who believe inand follow the prophet will prosper (Surah 7:157).
“Do notthinkthat I havecometoabolishthe Laworthe Prophets; I havenotcometoabolishthem buttofulfillthem.”Matthew 5:17
Jesus came to complete, or fulfill, the law. He came to call sinners to repentance. He came to speak the truth of God. Jesus came to save the lost and to do God’swill.
A Warning Against Hypocrisy Jesus warns many Scholars are Hypocrites: Mathew 23:1 1Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5“Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries a wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
8“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Many Scholars Changed the Word of God/ Torah and Gospel: Quran Kareem – surah Baqarah versew 79-80- Hypocrisy of Scholars So woe1 to those who distort the Scripture with their own hands then say, “This is from Allah”—seeking a fleeting gain! So woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they have earned. ˹Some of˺ the Jews claim, “The Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.” Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Have you taken a pledge from Allah—for Allah never breaks His word—or are you ˹just˺ saying about Allah what you do not know?”
Was the firstbornson of Abraham (Ishmael) and his descendants included in God’s covenant and promise?A few verses from the Bible may help light on this question: Prophet Muhammad is a Descendant of Abraham and his son Ishmael (through Hagar) – and the other Prophets who came to be known as Jews came from Abraham and his other wife Sarah (such as David, Solomon, Moses, Zakarriayh, John the Baptist, Jesus)
Genesis 12:2-3 speaks ofGod’s promisetoAbraham and hisdescendants beforeanychildwas bornto him.
2 And l Will make ofyoU a great natIon, and l Will bless you and make yoor name great, so that you will be a blessIng. 3 l WIll bless those Who bless yoU, and hIm Who dIshonors yoU l WIll curse, and In yoo all the famIlIes of the earth shall be blessed.”[a]
Genesis 17:4 reiterates God’s promise after the birth of Ishmael and before the birthof Isaac.
InGenesis,Ch. 21, Isaac is specifically blessed but Ishmael wasalsospecifically blessedand promised byGodto becomea“greatnation” inGenesis 21:13,18.
1 7Genesis17:4-
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “ I am God Almighty[a]; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 2 Then I will make my covenant,Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, “ As for me, this is my covenant withwill bethe father of many nations.5 No longer will you be called Abram[b];your name will be Abraham, (c] for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants afteryou; and I will be their God. ”
Let us discuss Isaiah Chapter 42, Verses 9-12. God declares through Prophet Isaiah;
In chapter 42, Isaiah begins with a prophecy for the coming of Prophet Jesus (a.s.). Now after verse number nine we see that God declares through Isaiah, the “new things” that are to “spring forth” in the Land of Kedar, the land of Kedar is Arabia. So obviously this prophecy speaks about Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w.a.).
Let us discuss Isaiah Chapter 42, Verses 9-12. God declares through Prophet Isaiah;
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. `Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth’, Ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare His praise in the inlands.”1
Before we analyze the prophecy let us see where the land of Kedar is;
Ezekial chapter 27 verse 21 says:
‘Arabia, and including all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats; in these were they thy merchants’.
The personality called Kedar in the Bible is that of the grandson of Prophet Abraham (a.s.), through his son Ishmael which is mentioned in the book of Genesis 25:13. Kedar’s descendants had settled in Paran (Sino-Arabian dessert). In the Rabbinic literature Arabia is called the “Land of Kedar”. Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w.a.) was a descendant of Kedar. God did reveal in the Land of Kedar, through Prophet Muhammed – a direct descendant of Kedar, a ‘New Song’ i.e: The Qur’an (Koran). (The Recitation)

Two artists associated with the group are Tom Thomson (1877-1917) and Emily Carr (1871-1945). Tom Thomson died before the official group formation – although the group was his Idea; in his essay “the Story of the Group of Seven”, Harris Thomson was a part of the movement before they pinned a label to it; Thomson’s paintings “The West Wind” and “The Jack Pine” are tow of the groups most iconic pieces.
Believing that a distinct Canadian art could be developed through direct contact with nature,[3] the Group of Seven is best known for its paintings inspired by the Canadian landscape, and initiated the first major Canadian national art movement.
McMichael Canadian Art Collection was founded by Robert and Signe McMichael, who began collecting paintings by the Group of Seven and their contemporaries in 1955.
