Repetance until Deathbed/ Last Breath
Hadith on Tawbah: Repentance accepted until deathbed/ last breath
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah accepts the repentance of his servants, as long as they are not on their death bed.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3537
Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Tirmidhi عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقْبَلُ تَوْبَ
(eg – just Prior to the Angel takingthe Breath/ removing the Soul with the Last Breath; )
Rizq/ Sustenance is from Allah azza wa Jal –

Rizq/ Sustenance is from Allah – no one can die till Sustenance comes to them – “Then (Allah) sends to it an angel who is tasked to breathe soul into it. (The angel) is then commanded to write down four matters: the writing of the (developing child’s) rizq (sustenance), his life span, his actions, and whether he will be truly happy or miserable” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)b – eg you cannot die till your reach all your written Sustence from your Lord;
“Indeed, it is Allah who is the (continual) Provider, the firm possessor of strength.”

(Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:58) وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ – And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers
ثم يرسل إليه الملك فينفخ فيه الروح، ويؤمر بأربع كلماتٍ: بكَتْبِ رزقه وأجله وعمله، وشقي أو سعيدٌ

The significance of effort and the different types of Rizq

Allah has commanded for every capable individual to put in the right effort in search of provision despite it being pre-determined for everyone. This is also reflected in the way Allah has created birds and animals, their way of life, to survive and to procreate. The Prophet s.a.w. mentioned in a hadith:
لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَوَكَّلُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرُزِقْتُمْ كَمَا يُرْزَقُ الطَّيْرُ تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا “If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given provision like the birds. It goes forth hungry in the morning and returns with a full belly at dusk.”
As a believer, one needs to be aware of the intricate relationship between faith and effort in the concept of finding Rizq. Limiting it to only faith that provision will come with no effort is insufficient. However, doing the opposite by making the necessary effort without acknowledging reliance on Allah s.w.t, is also misguided and will lead the person to an undesirable result.

Believers in Allah/ God AllMighty
surah Maidah 5:54 – O believers! Whoever among you abandons their faith, Allah will replace them with others who love Him and are loved by Him. They will be humble with the believers but firm towards the disbelievers, struggling in the Way of Allah; fearing no blame from anyone. This is the favour of Allah. He grants it to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing. –

* QURAN KAREEM

Surah Nur – 24:
Those who accuse chaste women ˹of adultery˺ and fail to produce four witnesses, give them eighty lashes ˹each˺. And do not ever accept any testimony from them—for they are indeed the rebellious—
In the name of Allah/ God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. A chapter that We have revealed, and made obligatory, and revealed in it clear Verses, that you may take heed. 2. The adulteress and the adulterer—whip each one of them a hundred lashes, and let no pity towards them overcome you regarding God’s Law, if you believe in God and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their punishment.
3. The adulterer shall marry none but an adulteress or an idolatress; and the adulteress shall marry none but an adulterer or an idolater. That has been prohibited for the believers.
4. Those who accuse chaste women, then cannot bring four witnesses, whip them eighty lashes, and do not ever accept their testimony. For these are the immoral.
5. Except for those who repent afterwards, and reform; for God is Forgiving and Merciful.
6. As for those who accuse their own spouses, but have no witnesses except themselves, the testimony of one of them is equivalent to four testimonies, if he swears by God that he is truthful. 7. And the fifth time, that God’s curse be upon him, if he is a liar. 8. But punishment shall be averted from her, if she swears four times by God, that he is a liar. 9. And the fifth time, that God’s wrath be upon her, if he is truthful.
10. Were it not for God’s grace upon you, and His mercy, and that God is Conciliatory and Wise.
HADITH *

‘Abdullah b. ‘Abbas reported that ‘Umar b. Khattab sat on the pulpit of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
Verily Allah sent Muhammad (ﷺ) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) awarded the punishment of stoning to death (to the married adulterer and adulteress) and, after him, we also awarded the punishment of stoning, I am afraid that with the lapse of time, the people (may forget it) and may say: We do not find the punishment of stoning in the Book of Allah, and thus go astray by abandoning this duty prescribed by Allah. Stoning is a duty laid down in Allah’s Book for married men and women who commit adultery when proof is established, or it there is pregnancy, or a confession.

Do Not Marry Polytheists- Quran &Bible Verses – The Veil

Do not marry polytheistic women until they believe; for a believing slave-woman is better than a free polytheist, even though she may look pleasant to you. And do not marry your women to polytheistic men until they believe, for a believing slave-man is better than a free polytheist, even though he may look pleasant to you. They invite ˹you˺ to the Fire while Allah invites ˹you˺ to Paradise and forgiveness by His grace.1 He makes His revelations clear to the people so perhaps they will be mindful. – Quran Kareem
Surah Maidah – table Spread 5:5 – Muslim men may marry Women from Alhul Kitab (people of the Book)- Christian and Jewish women – as they are Head of the Family – but not vice-versa (no Muslim woman can marry from Ahlul Kitab) – due to them still believeing in Allah azza wa Jal/ God AllMighty; this is also for Non Muslim women to Know if they Christian and/ or Jewish and Chaste marriage to a Muslim men is allowed – but not for any other beliefs – as well if someone does not propose to your right away- as you meet – they have Wring intention – as dating is not allowed in Islam. – so you are aware if some man may want to use and leave you;
Surah Maidah 5:5 – Today all good, pure foods have been made lawful for you. Similarly, the food of the People of the Book1 is permissible for you and yours is permissible for them. And ˹permissible for you in marriage˺ are chaste believing women as well as chaste women of those given the Scripture before you—as long as you pay them their dowries in wedlock, neither fornicating nor taking them as mistresses. And whoever rejects the faith, all their good deeds will be void ˹in this life˺ and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers.
The Veil
But if any of you cannot afford to marry a free believing woman, then ˹let him marry˺ a believing bondwoman possessed by one of you. Allah knows best ˹the state of˺ your faith ˹and theirs˺. You are from one another.1 So marry them with the permission of their owners,2 giving them their dowry in fairness, if they are chaste, neither promiscuous nor having secret affairs. If they commit indecency after marriage, they receive half the punishment of free women.3 This is for those of you who fear falling into sin. But if you are patient, it is better for you. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (An-Nisa 4:25)
* Do Not Marry Idolaters – Bible Verses
Deuteronomy 7:1-4 ESV / 51 helpful votes
“When the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and mightier than you, and when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must devote them to complete destruction. You shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them. You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly.

Now in Islam we do not say Prophet Solomon’s Heart turned after other “gods” – however the pirbicple is there; technically if you look at most Bible Verses and Quran Kareem you will realize the Source of Revelation is the same (Allah- saw- God AllMighty)
2 Corinthians 6:14-16 it reads:
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you[b] are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. NKJV

Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel (Marriage in general)
New American Standard Bible 1995 – Jacob and Rachel marriage – but he way he married Leah first (did not remove her Veil)- so then later on after many more years married Rachel, the mother of Yusuf/ Joseph (aleihis Salam) – as she was the younger sister; hence Lifting the Veil in marriage idea; The Veil; some jewish weddings still have the Face cover in weddings in present day;

There is a custom practiced during Jewish weddings known as the “bedeken”, or the “veiling”. Before the wedding ceremony, the groom goes to the room where his bride is sitting on a throne, and he covers her face with a veil. Her face remains covered during the entire chupah ceremony. Yet, at the end, it was Leah who became Jacob’s primary wife. Rachel died at a young age, so that most of Jacob’s married life was actually spent with Leah. In addition to this, it was Leah who mothered most of Jacob’s children, the future tribes of Israel and it was she, not Rachel, who ultimately was buried with Jacob in the Cave of Machpela in Hebron.
One of the traditional explanations for this custom is that it commemorates the event that occurred during Jacob’s wedding ceremony. Since Jacob’s bride was veiled, he did not realize that he was marrying the wrong woman. But if that is the reason, shouldn’t the custom be that the groom uncovers his bride’s face to make sure that he is marrying the bride of his choice? Why are we commemorating at each of our weddings this terrible episode that occurred to poor Jacob?
Genesis 29 15-28 – Prophet Yaqub/ Jacob(Alayhis Salam) marriages with Leah, then Rachel
After Jacob had stayed with him for a whole month, 15 Laban said to him, “Just because you are a relative of mine, should you work for me for nothing? Tell me what your wages should be.” 16 Now Laban had two daughters; the name of the older was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. 17 Leah had weak[a] eyes, but Rachel had a lovely figure and was beautiful. 18 Jacob was in love with Rachel and said, “I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.”
19 Laban said, “It’s better that I give her to you than to some other man. Stay here with me.” 20 So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her. 21 Then Jacob said to Laban, “Give me my wife. My time is completed, and I want to make love to her.” 22 So Laban brought together all the people of the place and gave a feast. 23 But when evening came, he took his daughter Leah and brought her to Jacob, and Jacob made love to her. 24 And Laban gave his servant Zilpah to his daughter as her attendant.
25 When morning came, there was Leah! So Jacob said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn’t I? Why have you deceived me?” 26 Laban replied, “It is not our custom here to give the younger daughter in marriage before the older one. 27 Finish this daughter’s bridal week; then we will give you the younger one also, in return for another seven years of work.”
28 And Jacob did so. He finished the week with Leah, and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel to be his wife. 29 Laban gave his servant Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her attendant. 30 Jacob made love to Rachel also, and his love for Rachel was greater than his love for Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven years. – but he lifted the Marriage Veil the second time *(yes women mostly used to cover their faces in public)
Notes: back then Men had to pay and work for women in or for marriage – there is “no free lunch” – so well that technically explains the Failure of most marriages today – where women split bills 50/50 – or pay too many bills – well How do you expect they make Good wives and mothers withh al that Stress – therefore the moral and societal decadence has somethings to do with the No Family/ mixed family structure of modern times.

Surah Kahf/ The Cave – Translation

* First 10 Verses:
In the name of God/Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Praise be to God, who revealed the Book to His servant, and allowed in it no distortion.
2. Valuable—to warn of severe punishment from Himself; and to deliver good news to the believers who do righteous deeds, that they will have an excellent reward.
3. In which they will abide forever.
4. And to warn those who say, “God has begotten a son.”
5. They have no knowledge of this, nor did their forefathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths. They say nothing but a lie.
6. Perhaps you may destroy yourself with grief, chasing after them, if they do not believe in this information.
7. We made what is upon the earth an ornament for it, to test them as to which of them is best in conduct.
8. And We will turn what is on it into barren waste.
9. Did you know that the People of the Cave and the Inscription were of Our wondrous signs?
10. When the youths took shelter in the cave, they said, “Our Lord, give us mercy from Yourself, and bless our affair with guidance.”
* Last 10 Ayaat/Verses – Translation
98. He said, “This is a mercy from my Lord. But when the promise of my Lord comes true, He will turn it into rubble, and the promise of my Lord is always true.”
99. On that Day, We will leave them surging upon one another. And the Trumpet will be blown, and We will gather them together.
100. On that Day, We will present the disbelievers to Hell, all displayed.
101. Those whose eyes were screened to My message, and were unable to hear.
102. Do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants for masters instead of Me? We have prepared Hell for the hospitality of the faithless.
103. Say, “Shall We inform you of the greatest losers in their works?”
104. “Those whose efforts in this world are misguided, while they assume that they are doing well.”
105. It is they who rejected the communications of their Lord, and the encounter with Him. So their works are in vain. And on the Day of Resurrection, We will consider them of no weight.
106. That is their requital—Hell—on account of their disbelief, and their taking My revelations and My messengers in mockery.
107. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have the Gardens of Paradise for hospitality.
108. Abiding therein forever, without desiring any change therefrom.
109. Say, “If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out, before the words of my Lord run out,” even if We were to bring the like of it in addition to it.
110. Say, “I am only a human being like you, being inspired that your god is One God. Whoever hopes to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and never associate anyone with the service of his Lord.”

Prophet Abraham/ Ibrahim and His Lord, Uzair(Ezra), Jesus in Quran Kareem

Are you ˹O Prophet˺ not aware of the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord because Allah had granted him kingship? ˹Remember˺ when Abraham said, “My Lord is the One Who has power to give life and cause death.” He argued, “I too have the power to give life and cause death.” Abraham challenged ˹him˺, “Allah causes the sun to rise from the east. So make it rise from the west.” And so the disbeliever was dumbstruck. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. – surah Al Baqarah 2: 258 (Prophet Ibrahim on the Power of Allah) in a Dilogue with Nimrud (Nimrod in the Bible)

Or ˹are you not aware of˺ the one who passed by a city which was in ruins. He wondered, “How could Allah bring this back to life after its destruction?” So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years then brought him back to life. Allah asked, “How long have you remained ˹in this state˺?” He replied, “Perhaps a day or part of a day.” Allah said, “No! You have remained here for a hundred years! Just look at your food and drink—they have not spoiled. ˹But now˺ look at ˹the remains of˺ your donkey! And ˹so˺ We have made you into a sign for humanity. And look at the bones ˹of the donkey˺, how We bring them together then clothe them with flesh!”1 When this was made clear to him, he declared, “˹Now˺ I know that Allah is Most Capable of everything.” (prophet Uzair/ Ezra -aleihis Salam/ Ezra) – surah Baqarah 2-260;

And ˹remember˺ when Abraham said, “My Lord! Show me how you give life to the dead.” Allah responded, “Do you not believe?” Abraham replied, “Yes I do, but just so my heart can be reassured.” Allah said, “Then bring four birds, train them to come to you, ˹then cut them into pieces,˺ and scatter them on different hilltops. Then call them back, they will fly to you in haste. And ˹so you will˺ know that Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.”
“Indeed, Ibrahim was a whole ummah by himself devout to Allah, unswervingly upright, and he was not of the associators, (Those who associate others with Allah) (He was) thankful for Allah’s Graces. He selected him, and He guided him to a straight Path. And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous. Then, We have inspired you (O Muhammad ﷺ saying): “Follow the way of Ibrahim with exclusive devotion to Allah. and he was not of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers, etc.)”

And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour upon you and your mother: how I supported you with the holy spirit1 so you spoke to people in ˹your˺ infancy and adulthood. How I taught you writing, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. How you moulded a bird from clay—by My Will—and breathed into it and it became a ˹real˺ bird—by My Will. How you healed the blind and the lepers—by My Will. How you brought the dead to life—by My Will. How I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs and the disbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but pure magic.”
˹Remember˺ when the angels proclaimed, “O Mary! Allah gives you good news of a Word1 from Him, his name will be the Messiah,2 Jesus, son of Mary; honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and he will be one of those nearest ˹to Allah˺. – surah Al Imran 3:48
And Allah will teach him writing and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel,
and ˹make him˺ a messenger to the Children of Israel ˹to proclaim,˺ ‘I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I will make for you a bird from clay, breathe into it, and it will become a ˹real˺ bird—by Allah’s Will. I will heal the blind and the leper and raise the dead to life—by Allah’s Will. And I will prophesize what you eat and store in your houses. Surely in this is a sign for you if you ˹truly˺ believe. – surah Al Imran 3:49
And I will confirm the Torah revealed before me and legalize some of what had been forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so be mindful of Allah and obey me. surah Al Imran 3:50
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۗ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ ٥١

Sorcery – Disbelief Islam – Hadith
The term mentioned in the hadith refers to a well-known practice during the era of ignorance, performed by the people of that time. This form of Al-Nushra(breaking a Spell with a similar spell) is indeed an act associated with Satan, making it impermissible.
The spell’s impact can only be nullified by the sorcerer who cast it. Seeking the assistance of sorcerers and consulting them is strictly forbidden. As the Prophet, peace be upon him, declared, “Whoever approaches a sorcerer and believes in what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad.”

Magic Disbelief – Islam
Kitaab At-Tawheed, Chapter: 25 What has Been Said About An-Nushrah 1
It is reported on the authority of Jabir (ra ) that Allah’s Messenger (saas ) was asked about an-nushrah (Unbinding sorcery with a similar spell) -and he said: “It is one of the works of Satan.” (Narrated by Ahmad with a good Sanad and by Abu Dawood Who said: “Ahmad was asked about these matters and he answered that Ibn Mas’ood detested all such things.”)Who said: “Ahmad was asked about these matters and he answered that Ibn Mas’ood detested all such things.”) Because an-nushrah was one of the actions of the Jahiliyyah, and the Companions had no desire or liking for the Jahiliyyah or its deeds, they asked the Prophet (saas ) about an-nushrah. He (saas ) replied that it is one of the works of Satan, and it is well-known that Satan orders not except that which is corrupt and detestable to the Believer. As for that which is permissible and not from the works of Satan, there is ar-ruqyah, seeking refuge (with Allah swt ) and the use of all permissible medicines (i.e. those which do not contain forbidden substances such as alcohol, pig fat etc.) and the Hadith is not a forbiddance of these things.
Muhammad Ibn `Abdul Wahhaab said: “Ibn Al-Qayyim said: “An-Nushrah is counteracting the effects of magic and it consists of two kinds: 1. Counteracting magic with its like and this is the work of the devil. 2. An-Nushrah by means of ar-ruqyah, seeking refuge with Allah (swt ), permissible medicines and making supplications to Allah (swt ) – these are all permitted forms of an-nushrah. Important Note It might be said, with some justification, that these words of Ibn Al-Qayyim sum up the message of this chapter.
